Julie is a nonprofit professional with over 13 years of experience, primarily supporting independent and public charter schools, helping create opportunities that positively impact children’s lives. With a master’s degree in counseling psychology, she has long been interested in how the right support at the right moment can make a lasting difference in a young person’s life. She’s a creative and resourceful problem solver who enjoys seeing both the “trees and the forest” when it comes to helping organizations grow.
Her interest in the Boys & Girls Clubs comes from a belief that kids benefit from strong support systems beyond their families. The chance to help even one child feel supported, confident, and able to pursue their potential is what makes the work meaningful to her.
Julie and her family moved to Bend three years ago and have loved discovering all that Central Oregon has to offer. With her son heading off to college soon, she’s also getting ready to see what life as an empty nester might look like. She shares her home with three silly, goofy dogs who keep life lively and full of laughs.
