Investing in local youth
We are stepping up in new and bold ways, but our resolve can only get us so far as we face lost revenue, increased costs, and higher demand for our services. Serving youth all day during the school year, with reduced capacity and staffing ratios, will nearly triple our costs. As families face growing economic hardships, it is critical that we increase our scholarships and spaces for youth who cannot afford care.
You can count on us to do this essential and risky work, but we need your help! Please consider if there is an amount each month you can commit to our youth. Maybe it’s one less latte or pint each month. Maybe it’s more. No matter the amount, sustaining gifts mean that we will always be here for every child who comes through our doors looking for support and opportunities to grow. Recent major gifts made it possible for us to kick off school year programming, and every single dollar received from our community stays with our local Club.
We also appreciate receiving a steady stream of in-kind donations! School supplies from the list below go a long ways to helping us create educational experiences for our members. Safety guidelines require that we maintain separate supplies for each of our small groups, meaning we will need duplicates of many of our regular items!
