Why are you involved with Boys & Girls Clubs?
I believe that all youth should have a mentor and role model to look up to. Through the Boys & Girls Club, we are able to build supportive relationships with our club members that can help guide them to a positive future.
What path did you take to end up here?
After graduating from George Fox University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and Communications, I began working with various youth serving programs and organizations in Central Oregon. Working with youth had always been one of my passions. It was not until I started at BGCB as the Teen Director that I realized the positive impact that you can make on their lives. It was then when I decided to take my passion and turn it into a career. After serving as the Teen Director for two years, I took a position as the Program Director of our East Bend Club.
What is your favorite part about living in Central Oregon?
The great golf courses in the area.
