Summer Program

The 2023 Summer Registration is now open!  Use the button below to complete and submit an application.

Apply Here

Please make sure your application’s authorized pickup list includes one parent/guardian and at least one other local adult who can be called during emergencies.

Beginning Wednesday, 3/1, we will review how many seats we have left and invite a lottery-based registration to the general public, closing that lottery at midnight on Sunday, 3/5. Anyone who registers after Sunday, 3/5, will more than likely go onto a waitlist.

By Friday, 3/10, we will notify all families about their enrollment status in our Club’s Summer Program. Please be patient with us as we work through this process; we ask that you hold your inquiries on updates until after notifications have been emailed out. Otherwise, incoming calls to our team will slow down our internal efforts and processes to determine and share out our news with all involved.

Note for Families Seeking Scholarship(s): If you apply for a scholarship when you submit your application, you *must* have your 2023 1040 *or* your two most recent pay stubs for each adult working in your household; if these are not included alongside your registration packet, you will be moved onto our lottery-based waitlist and will not be offered a scholarship until your 1040 or pay stubs are received, and you are selected from the lottery. Please plan ahead and gather your documents accordingly in anticipation of the registration date listed above.

Summer Invoicing Schedule

Below is the schedule for invoices and payments for Summer Programming; please mark this in your calendar and plan accordingly. For families receiving a rate based on our scholarship scale, please note the below costs will be adjusted accordingly based on scholarship determination, but the due dates for your adjusted invoice amounts will remain the same.

  • Offer & Invoice 1 of $450: Sent out Thursday, 3/9, and due Tuesday, 3/14
  • Invoice 2 of $705: Sent out on Monday, 3/27, and due Monday, 4/17

  • Invoice 4 of $705: Sent out on Monday, 5/22, and due Friday, 6/12
  • If you submit a “Bye Week” form by the deadline, Invoice 4’s amount due will be adjusted.

*Please note the importance of reading your offer letter carefully. Families offered after Friday 3/10 may have an adjusted fee schedule.

Summer Programming Costs + Scholarships

Across nine weeks of summer, we will provide 400 hours of safe, engaging care to Club youth, which will total $2,565 in costs for each Club member this summer. When converted to the hourly cost, this is less than $6.50/hour for summer care, including lunch and a heavy afternoon snack. We also will continue to provide a sliding scale of scholarships as financial aid for families who apply and provide the documentation needed. As has been our standard, we will not offer week-to-week sign-ups during summer registration because we recognize the deep value of consistent programming for our Club youth as they engage in academic success, healthy lifestyle, and character and leadership.

Here at Club, we’ve had so much fun already in 2023 with our Club members. We’ve learned together through hands-on programming that engages in academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character and leadership development.

Summer Club enrollment provides the following:

  • Total 430 service hours
  • Healthy snacks
  • Learning activities
  • Participate in Power Hour (homework, reading, etc.)
  • Make crafts
  • Occasional field trips
  • Occasional learning presentations (professionals host activities such as science labs and money management trivia)

Club members commit to the entire enrolled time period. We do not pro-rate fees for inconsistent attendance, and Club members are expected to meet an attendance minimum of 3 days a week.

Initial payment for Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend program registration is non-refundable.
BGCB is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that relies on program fees and fundraising to sustain our operations yearly.
